Custom-Made Porcelain or Composite Veneers

Dental veneers are very similar to crowns but are a more conservative way to transform your smile and boost your confidence. Veneers are a thin, custom-made shell of porcelain or composite designed to cover the front surface of your teeth. This is used to change the color, shape, size, or length of your teeth to give you a beautiful, uniform smile.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you need to drill on my teeth for veneers?

The majority of the time we do need to remove a small amount of tooth structure to provide the appropriate space for veneers to last. The amount of tooth structure needed to be removed is much less than that needed for crowns and is often limited to just the enamel. Occasionally we can provide “no-prep veneers” where we don’t have to remove any tooth structure.

What’s the difference between composite veneers and porcelain veneers?

Composite veneers are made from the same materials we use for fillings. They are a cheaper option but often require more time in the chair and more work to accomplish. Porcelain veneers are made in a dental laboratory and often are more durable and stain-resistant than composite veneers.
